ELTAS e.V. has recently negotiated a partnership agreement with Distance Cert to provide a special discount for our members along with other Germany ELTA members for this Cert IBET at ELTAS course!
Dates
The course follows a self regulated learning format giving you plenty of time to complete. Key milestone dates as follows:
- Introductory workshop session on September 14th an ELTAS e.V. event, hybrid at the ISM, Stuttgart!
- Check in session for participants in November TBA
- Final assessment coaching session in March (or TBA) for participants.
Delivery Method
The course will be conducted as live virtual training.
Who Should Attend?
The target audience for this Cert IBET at ELTAS includes teachers with a general qualification such as CELTA, along with those with extensive experiential learning, who wish to gain a recognised international certification in Business English training. This course contains content relevant for the following English trainers.
- Aspiring Business English trainers who want to develop their knowledge and skills
- New or less-experienced business English trainers who need to refine their practice and grow professionally
- Experienced trainers who wish to share their ideas, expand their knowledge, gain new ideas or obtain a certification proving their competence.
Fees
The reduced training fee for ELTAS e.V. and German ELTA (must be confirmed in good standing) members is €500 (from €750). The moderation fee (set by English UK) is €180, for a total of €680 for the entire course!
The course will need a minimum of 4 participants to run.
All prices are inclusive of relevant taxes.

Furthermore, ELTAS has agreed a payment plan for members.
- 50% of training fee before the start of the course
- 50% in March 2025!
- Moderation fee at the completion of the course
Objectives
There are numerous objectives to the course, these are 5 key intended course outcomes:
- For aspiring Business English trainers, developing an overall understanding of Business English, its context, who requires it and their motivations is crucial.
- Grow knowledge of the world of business to aid in Business English training in areas including finance, marketing and HR.
- Advance capabilities in using a range of tools, methodologies and approaches for Business English training.
- In turn, participants will build the capacity to train business functions such as presentations, meetings and negotiations.
- Ultimately, you’ll be able to better set the direction of your career as a trainer in areas such as conference speaking, writing for publication and further professional development.
Assessment
Following the in-person course completion, participants must complete a 3000 to 4000 word assignment, moderated by LanguageCert, in order to become certified for the Cert IBET. Additionally, participants will receive coaching as well as ample time (2 years) in order to get the best possible chance of success.
